The Social Media Store is a first-of-its-kind, service-based retail concept in Corktown created by Robert Courtney of Robert Courtney & Associates to support small business owners, creators, and brands who need a place to create content, but aren’t ready for full-scale agency services. Born from a clear gap in the market, the space offers on-demand access to content creation tools, guidance, and strategy within a membership model that feels aspirational, approachable, and creatively charged.
Concetti transformed a white-box space into a flexible, human-centered environment designed to adapt; serving as a content studio, workshop venue, and creative hub all at once. Anchored by a bold stage with an LED screen, an infinity wall, modular sets, and staff-forward planning, the design acts as a clean, future-facing backdrop where ideas, people, and brands take center stage; proving that when design supports both users and operators, innovation follows.
THE CHALLENGES → THE DESIGN MOVES
Small footprint, big expectations → We used intentional walls, corners, and zones to carve out multiple recording areas without closing the space in.
Storage was essential, but nowhere to put it → We pulled the infinity wall off the back wall, creating a hidden storage corridor for sets, chairs, and gear.
Needed to flex between recording studio and presentation venue → A modular conversation sofa anchors the center, easily breaking apart and clearing out so the space can transform into a seated audience layout when needed.
