We are so grateful we were selected to participate in the Junior League Showhouse this year – it was a huge success! The goal of the space was to pay homage to Detroit’s rich history while showcasing local artisans and modern convenience.
Detroit was once called the “Paris of the New France.” RL Concetti was inspired by this history and chose to honor it through the oversized mural of Claude Monet’s Sunset on the Seine at Lavacourt supplied by Detroit Wallpaper Company. Blending Parisian influence with the existing architecture of the Bingley Fales House resulted in a space saturated in intricate trim work, arches, color, and of course the signature white marble.
It was an honor to be selected and we are proud to support a worthy organization, rooted in a history of taking care of our community. Junior League uses the funds raised from the show house to support ‘Project EAT’ which helps create a more food secure community by providing Education, Access, and Tools to those in need. A huge thanks to our sponsors Regina Andrew, Detroit Wallpaper company, Pewabic, Schumacher, Ciot, Kohler and Benjamin Moore for donating materials for the space.
