Translating Design Into Scent: Crafting the Moxie Candle
Rachel had always dreamed of creating a custom candle for Concetti, one that reflected our belief in holistic design. Because design isn’t just about what you see; it’s about what you feel. Partnering with Detroit candle maker Allison from Applewood Candle Co., Rachel translated the soul of Concetti into scent. Through months of collaboration, testing pours, refining fragrances, and perfecting design details, they created a candle that captures the spirit of Detroit and the warmth of home.
From Concept to Concrete: Creating the Moxie Tray
The creative journey continued with Andrew from Detroit Line Studio, a longtime collaborator known for his handcrafted concrete work. Together, Rachel and Andrew designed a multifunctional tray that celebrates the candle while standing alone as a versatile home accent. They explored materials, color finishes, and sustainable production techniques to embody Detroit’s grit, resilience, and beauty in custom home decor.
