When our client brought us on to redesign her gorgeous home, the entire space was basically a blank canvas (our favorite!). We found inspiration all around us, as the Book Cadillac embodies rich history and unique elements throughout. Having a client who took as much pride in the overall structure as much as her new home, it was easy for us to have the creative freedom to compliment the building.

As a fellow lover of Detroit, we wanted to build our client a space where she could enjoy the city view and a glass of wine at the end of the day. What better spot to relax than soaking in a freestanding tub placed in front of the third story arch?

If you are fortunate enough to be a guest here and decide to set your glass down on the bench besides you, you may realize you're setting your cocktail glass down on an almost century-old piece of architecture. We think that is certainly something the cheers to!

We designed the space to accentuate the Neoclassical architecture, intentionally playing up the three story arched windows (without distracting from the view).  We chose to add black and white marble gracing the floors and walls of the space, which served as the perfect backdrop for a bold pop of color found in the deep blue velvet sofas flanking the fireplace.
