Every year, Concetti seeks out ways to give back to our community by doing what we do best-designing spaces that are both meaningful and functional. When Junior League of Detroit approached us to be a featured designer in their show house raising money for Project EAT,
we were so excited to contribute to such a worthy cause. ‘Project EAT’ helps create a more food secure community by providing Education, Access, and Tools to those in need.
Our goal for the space was to pay homage to Detroit’s rich history while showcasing local artisans and modern convenience. Concetti was inspired by Detroit’s moniker as the “Paris of the Midwest” and chose to honor it through the oversized mural of Claude Monet’s Sunset on the Seine at Lava court supplied by Detroit Wallpaper Company.
Blending Parisian influence with the existing architecture of the Bingley Fales House resulted in a space saturated in intricate trim work, arches, bold colors, and of course the signature white marble.
A huge thanks to our sponsors Regina Andrew, Detroit Wallpaper company, Pewabic, Schumacher, Ciot, Kohler and Benjamin Moore for donating materials for the space.
