PARKER’S HOME
Starting strong with our latest project at Associate Designer Parker's home in the historic Detroit Boston Edison neighborhood, we invite you to step inside #InTheirEdisonEra. The small primary bathroom posed a challenge in fitting modern amenities, but with a new state move, a new job, and a baby on the way, Parker turned to us to create the perfect space while preserving the home's historic charm.
The finished bathroom includes a freestanding clawfoot tub, a walk-in closet, a stacked washer and dryer, and a private toilet room. New brass plumbing fixtures and restored original molding maintain historical accuracy, while Parker’s signature sage green color is elegantly incorporated into the wainscoting and shower tile. Although the primary bathroom is complete, Parker expertly designed the rest of her home, blending modern and historic elements to create a welcoming space for her growing family that beautifully merges old and new with both style and functionality.

NOTHIN’ BUT A GREEN THANG
Now let’s take a look at the first project Parker designed with Concetti (that coincidentally also includes the color green) which we’ve lovingly named #NothinButAGreenThang.
As one of his first steps as a new bachelor, Nick sought to truly reflect his individuality through his home and turned to us to infuse it with his distinctive masculine energy. Understanding Nick on a personal level, Parker worked to transform his home into an authentic expression of his identity, incorporating elements that matter most to him: his dog Sonny, the outdoors, and his love for cigars and whiskey. This insight allowed us to craft a masculine, moody aesthetic with modern touches, ensuring that every room reflected Nick's true self.
INDIAN VILLAGE I-KAHN
Another project Parker designed was, yet again coincidentally, a historic bathroom! This space, also known as #IndianVillageIKahn, has recently won the Gold award for Best Master Bathroom under $75,000 by the nationally recognized Kitchen and Bath Design Awards.
Clients Alex and Kyle, a young couple with a keen sense of style and extensive remodeling experience, own an Indian Village home designed by the renowned American architect Albert Kahn, often called the “architect of Detroit.” The finished design beautifully honors the home's architecture while integrating modern amenities and schematically solves the families pain points such as lack of storage and outdated plumbing. Victorian-inspired crown molding, all-gold plumbing fixtures, and a unique tile blend application in the shower maintain a historically accurate feel, resulting in a stunning blend of both styles that perfectly balances historical charm with modern functionality.
RACHEL’S HOME
Concetti CEO + Principal Designer, Rachel, designed her traditional 1942 Grosse Pointe Woods bungalow (or as we like to call it, fungalow) to be a reflection of her bold personal style in #CallItaFungalow.
Upstairs features vibrant peacock colors, a passion of Rachel's since she was 5 years old. She vividly remembers seeing a peacock fan out its stunning feathers at the Detroit Zoo, and that moment has inspired her ever since. Now, she’s infused her Grosse Pointe Woods bungalow with that same love for brilliant hues. Despite the bungalow's smaller size and her goal to entertain friends and family, Rachel has skillfully maximized the space and used thoughtful design to make it feel more expansive.
Downstairs, the vibey #CallitaFungalow lounge has transformed from a simple 700 SF concrete basement into a dynamic space. The objectives were to design a versatile space that suits Rachel and Joe, accommodates their hosting needs, addresses the lower-level's functionality, and reflects Rachel's bold style.. By embracing moody hues, distinctive lighting, and quirky details, Rachel shunned trends in favor of what truly inspires her. The result is a space where she can unwind after a long day or enjoy gatherings with loved ones throughout the year.

NATURALLY NEWTRAL (Detroit Design Award Winner)
The Kitchen and Bath Design and Detroit Design Award-winning project #NaturallyNewtral is a striking contrast to Rachel’s home, showcasing the breadth of her design expertise.
Our clients, retirees Renee and Mark, desired a custom home that was boldly and beautifully reflective of their unique tastes—right down to the smallest detail. Our shared goal was to co-create a space that catered perfectly to their lifestyle, hobbies, and travel paths while celebrating their passion for interior design.
From the ground up, we worked closely with Renee and Mark to ensure their home was fully tailored to their vision. During our initial planning, we identified a palette that resonated with Marc and Renee. By combining black marble, walnut accents, and warm whites, we balanced personal style with the minimalist, open, and calming atmosphere of the space.
WOODED WHIMSY
Detroit Design Award winning project #WoodedWhimsy earned its name from the seamless blend of functionality and whimsical touches throughout the home, with a focus on meeting our clients’ needs and preferences.
Initially, our clients reached out after completing their kitchen and primary bathroom, seeking a design partner to infuse more personality into their space and bring their vision to life. They brought us in to enhance the existing rooms, creating a cohesive design that expanded on their vision and increased functionality.
From custom dog coasters and hidden mice in every room to birds that elegantly hold lighting in place and subtle ET wallpaper in the primary powder room, every detail reflects this family's unique taste and love for animals. By combining cohesion, functionality, and delightful whimsy, Rachel collaborated with this family of four to transform their nearly blank slate into a cozy, eclectic retreat that stands out from the ordinary.
TAYLOR’S HOME
Concetti Lead Designer and Brand Ambassador Taylor purchased her Berkley home nine years ago while still in art school. Drawn in by its convenient location near school, downtown Detroit, and her parents' home, she had initial design plans for the space but never imagined it would become the home for her and her growing family. When Taylor and her husband Cody discovered they were expecting a baby, they enlisted Concetti to help adapt their home for this new chapter—parenthood!
Before Blair was born, Taylor and Cody traveled to Tanzania, which inspired the nursery's safari theme. Framed photos by the rocker showcase some of the animals they encountered on their trip. The crib nook features jungle motif wallpaper, an adorable elephant rocker, and a Justina Blakeney tiger rug from LoLoi, all enhancing the theme.
The rest of Taylor and Cody’s home perfectly reflects their personal style while offering a masterclass on small space living. Taylor’s love for eclectic, vintage finds is evident, with a solid black marble dining table as a standout thrifted treasure. Every item, including the performance sofa fabric, is chosen for comfort for both humans and dogs. Taylor’s knack for stunning second-hand finds extends to a vintage mantle from a Concetti-renovated craftsman house and unique ottomans for additional seating. The tour concludes with the personality-packed primary bathroom, where black walls contrast with white paneling to mask the room’s shortness, while pink and orange accents in the shower curtain, vanity fixture, and art add personality.

SUBURBAN SANCTUARY
One of Taylor’s latest projects at Concetti, #SuburbanSanctuary, highlights our commitment to not only understanding our clients' style but also connecting with them personally and celebrating their values.
Our client, who views their home as an extension of themselves, desired a sanctuary that mirrored their love for simplicity, nature, and minimalism, while also supporting their mental well-being.
The 100-year-old colonial house, though charming, had become a patchwork of outdated features that didn’t align with their vision for a modern, open-concept home. Our challenge was to renovate this disjointed space in a way that seamlessly fit their vision. We removed popcorn ceilings, traditional molding, and awkward walls to create a more open and functional layout.
To achieve a clutter-free environment, Taylor incorporated natural textures, earthy tones, and minimalist decor. Features like a custom plant wall, a hidden pantry, and a spa-like primary bathroom transformed the house into a true #SuburbanSanctuary.
TEAL APPEAL IN GROSSE ILE
Feeling the #TealAppeal? We aimed to infuse the space with more personality, boost functionality, and make the most of their stunning riverfront view.
Our clients’ personal style embraced midcentury design, nature, and eclectic inspirations, which Taylor thoughtfully incorporated into the project. Elements like a cherished butterfly pillow in the bedroom, deep blue wainscoting and accents in the entryway and living room, and a whimsical mermaid door pull in the master bathroom reflect their unique tastes. By blending new and existing materials, we infused the home with personality and enhanced its functionality, perfectly capturing the essence of their picturesque Detroit River location.
